The hydraulic oil inlet filter element,also known as the oil suction filter element,is installed inside the hydraulic oil tank,at the front end of the main Hydraulic Pump oil suction port,immersed below the hydraulic oil level.The hydraulic oil enters the main hydraulic pump after passing through the suction filter from the oil tank,mainly intercepting rust,welding slag,rubber particles,and large volume impurities inside the oil tank,avoiding large particles and hard objects from directly entering the main pump,and preventing the plunger,slide shoe,and distribution plate from being directly damaged by hard particles.It is the first protective barrier of the main pump.

　　Oil absorption filters are mostly made of metal woven mesh or large-diameter paper composite filter elements,with lower filtration accuracy than return Oil filters,larger oil passage area,and reduced oil absorption resistance.The oil suction resistance should not be too high.If the resistance is too high,it will cause the main pump to suck air,resulting in cavitation and erosion of the distribution plate.This is a common cause of damage to many main pumps.Some oil suction filters are equipped with one-way check valves to prevent oil from flowing back into the tank after shutdown,and to quickly establish oil supply during the next start-up.

　　Oil tanks in mining conditions are prone to sedimentation of rust and sediment,and oil suction filters are more prone to clogging.Oil suction filters generally do not have instrument alarms and belong to hidden filter elements.Typical fault symptoms:abnormal noise from the main pump,loud cavitation noise from the pump body,shaking during operation,and increased hydraulic oil temperature;Severe blockage can cause the main pump to become empty,generating a large number of bubbles and accelerating the internal friction pair strain of the main pump.Many repairs only replace the return oil filter and Pilot Filter,forgetting the oil suction filter,and the hydraulic pump is repeatedly damaged.

　　The oil suction filter is a maintenance part,and the metal mesh version can be cleaned and inspected.The paper version must be replaced directly,and the paper version cannot be washed and reused.The oil suction filter hidden inside the fuel tank is not easy to inspect and is easily overlooked.The cost of oil suction filter is not high,but once it is blocked or damaged,large particles of impurities will directly impact the main pump,and the maintenance cost is huge.Regular inspection and maintenance of oil suction filter is a crucial part of protecting the main pump.
